Classification: According to Article 7 of Law No. 5224, as amended on January 18, 2019, films that have not undergone evaluation and classification can only be shown at festivals, special screenings, and similar cultural and artistic events with an 18+ age restriction.

In Angela Melitopoulos’s Crossings, originally conceived as an installation, the debt crisis in Greece, migration and the plundering of natural resources cease to be separate crises. The borders closed at Idomeni in 2016, the refugees expelled from the Port of Piraeus, the gold mine in Halkidiki and the refugee camps on Lesbos are all linked through the unequal power relations created by debt and capital. Whilst Crossings highlights the trauma passed down through bodies and generations by war and neoliberal destruction, it brings together voices and images from different regions.
