Silvia, a free spirit who does not believe much in commitment, adopts a puppy named Yuri. But Yuri is so headstrong that he continually runs away and returns on his own terms, turning the traditional concept of a dog’s loyalty upside down. Ultimately, Yuri becomes a mirror for Silvia. Through him, she finds an opportunity to reflect on belonging - or not belonging - and on her own hidden desires. How much do we truly want to be attached? Is attachment the opposite of freedom? Is our real mistake thinking of attachment as a cycle of possessing and being possessed? Here is a film that uses our relationship with another being to reflect on our own existence.
