Volkan Üce, known to festival circuits by his documentary All-Inclusive, has a new film out that follows the story of a one-of-a-kind character: Tayfun Arslan, the owner of a funeral home in Belgium. Hızır Funeral Home handles the funerals of immigrants, mostly from Turkey. Arslan is a vibrant figure, thanks to his outgoing personality and zest for life. Volkan Üce follows in the footsteps of this intriguing entrepreneur, documenting the landscape of migration between Europe and Turkey, while he juxtaposes the harsh reality of death alongside the ordinary rhythm of daily life.
